We are seeking a VICE PRESIDENT, AUDIO to lead development and production of Hartbeat’s radio, podcast and audiobook slate. The ideal candidate is passionate about comedic entertainment, well-versed and deeply connected across the audio landscape and is eager to take on a new challenge that is equal parts creative and operational, as they will be charged with helping to create, manage and scale unique, must-listen audio IP and experiences.


  • Contribute to the development, production, and optimization of an expanding slate of podcasts, radio programming (LOL Radio) and audiobooks
  • Work closely with the business development, partnerships, legal, finance and marketing teams to scale Hartbeat’s audio business
  • Work cross-functionally to translate audio programming and IP to TV/Film, digital video, events and commerce
  • Maintain relationships with partners to help grow and influence the audience in the audio space
  • Develop audio ideas from a variety of sources including the existing Hartbeat IP, talent partners and 3rd party collaborators
  • Oversee a slate of existing shows, podcasts, and radio shows at various stages of production
  • Maintain excellent relationships across the audio ecosystem including distribution, production, monetization, and talent partners
  • Partner closely with internal and external analytics teams to track and optimize performance of audio initiatives
  • Interface with our platform partners to ensure satisfaction and continued growth
  • Work internally across departments to use audio to better serve our brand partners and content groups
  • Manage audio production vendors, partners, and staff
  • Drive innovation in the audio category by leading experimentation and breaking new ground in the space


  • 5+ years of experience as an executive in entertainment, with at least 2 years dedicated to audio
  • Extensive knowledge of the audio space and the players
  • Ability to work across creative & technical aspects of audio
  • Proven track record of building talent relationships
  • Self-starter who has the ability to work independently, but also fits in a strong team environment
  • Have a strong command of the broader podcast/radio/audiobook industry landscape and an interest in keeping up to date with competitive series
  • Passionate about the comedic entertainment space with a keen eye for quality content & talent
  • Demonstrated track record developing successful audio initiatives (podcasts, audiobooks, and radio programming
  • Finds the laughter in everyday life and wants to keep the world laughing together!
